But the book is still very good. You should read it. Another good book that I have read is Jane Eyre. Be careful though, there is some French in there. You may want to look through and see if any of that is translated at the bottom.

It's stupid for them to make us get the book ourselves. But it does sort of make sense since this year we're splitting up and going to different high schools. For three towns they have 2 highschools and everyone gets to choose which one they are going to. And some are going to Catholic school (surprisingly, alot of my classmates are...). So that may be a reason.... I hadn't heard of the book either. I looked it up yesterday just because I didn't even have a clue as to the plot or the setting or the characters! And from what I heard, I have to write a 10 paragraph essay about the book in my first week of high school! ---Kelly. and I think this may be my 100th post! yayy!

How many pages is that, anyway? Your best bet is to see, besides getting the book, to see if there are any SparkNotes or CliffNotes on it. You still have to read the book, but those notes help you A LOT while you read if you miss something. They explain chapters in bulk and you can access them online for free. The books are pretty cheap, too, I have a few of them for some of the required reading I had to do, and they really help. I wish I didn't have to read the book, too, but you do. But, I admit, when I had to read "Romeo and Juliet" I got so frustrated with the text itself I just read the Sparknotes. For some reason, in ninth grade English, you never got tested...so why bother? LOL.

Whoot, found the forum again! ;D I'm currently engrossed in the new biography of Jimmy Stewart by Marc Elliot. I must finish it so I don't have to beg the library to let me keep it!

Real smoothe Gina, and I take that back...my mate Sabrina and I swapped books! She has the Art of Destruction while I read a 9/Rose book with my beloved Mr Hotness in it. I can't find any more 9/rose books so I have to rely on her and the three books she has (might I point out I own one of the 9/Rose books that she owns) *sigh*

I just read the book called Empress Orchid. It is a very good book, but a little difficult to follow at times.
